The B.C. Research Libraries Group, representing UBC, Simon Fraser University and the University of Victoria, is proud to present an upcoming panel on new scholarly communication models and open access publishing.
The May 3 panel, entitled Transformative Change in the System of Scholarly Communication & Publishing Worldwide: the Case for Open Access to Research will feature three speakers: Dr. John Willinsky, Dr. Francis Ouellette and Dr. Carl Bergstrom.
Dr. Willinsky is a Pacific Press Professor of Literacy and Technology at UBC, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
Dr. Ouellette is Director of the UBC Bioinformatics Centre and Associate Professor at the Department of Medical Genetics at UBC.
Dr. Bergstrom is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Washington.
